My New Free Novel, “Raising the Crown.”

Hello, everyone, and welcome back to my site. As promised, I am now debuting my latest novel, Raising the Crown. It was originally slated to be marketed for sale in eBook and paperback when it was finished, but because I have made the decision to take down a formerly free for all novel I had online, Never Let Go, I’ve decided to turn Raising the Crown into a free for all instead. Once I have more books on my “author” shelf, I may end up eventually taking Raising the Crown down off the free book platform, but there are no plans any time soon to do that. As done with the free for all I previously had up and running, this book too shall be released by one or two chapters at a time. I am super excited to share this one with you, because it is going to be written in a slightly different style from what I normally write in. My normal writing style is third person narration, but this one will be written in first person, with the prologue in a mother’s point of view, the story in the father’s point of view, and the epilogue in their son’s point of view once he has become a man. That being said, and I know I have mentioned this novel in a previous post, but please allow me to introduce you once again to Raising the Crown (you may click on the title to start reading it, but for more information about the book, please see below):

Cover Design by Jenah Pierce.

Genre: Fiction.
Subgenre(s): Coming-of-Age, Drama, Romance, and Young Adult.
First Publication Date: June 14th, 2019.
Format Availability: Available online via all electronic devices.
Synopsis: With a twist or two in the classic Romeo & Juliet story, Luca Palladino is a young, intelligent prince who represents the forbidden love between famous musician and actor Vince Palladino and Princess Camila Juric, both of whom are from two entirely different neighboring cultures that have been at war with each other over land for many a century. In the wake of Camila’s death only ten years after their split, Vince learns not only how important Camila was in her culture, but he also learns of the ten-year-old son he never knew he had with her. Vince struggles with his Hollywood fame and already being a father of two younger boys while another child is on the way with his wife, Gloria. While he also deals with the loss of his first true love all over again, Vince learns of the fact that Prince Luca was secretly abused by his stepfather in more ways than one. Upon revelation of this devastating news, Vince decides to eventually give up his own personal fame in order to raise Luca into a kind, respectful young king that will break down the barriers of racism and hatred of two warring nations while bringing two beautiful cultures together in peace at last.
Price: Free.
Reason to Read: Are you interested in reading something slightly different, totally fictitious in nature, but can keep you grounded with some real world issues? Not sure if you want to pay the price? Well, hey, this book’s free (so no money wasted, if you don’t like it!), and gives you an opportunity to get a taste of this author’s style of writing! 😉 In all seriousness, though, this story is actually a beautiful blend of two novels in one where you can transcend space and time with the main character, Vince, as he is called to focus on the present while keeping love in all its beauty alive in honor of his oldest son’s mother after her passing. As a little background information (a sort of “fun fact”), this book was supposed to be a sequel (formerly titled, Raising Dustin), but with a total makeover in characters and plot comes a new title, and this blending of two novels means there likely won’t be a prequel. While it is not listed as a Suspense fiction novel, there will definitely be some suspense in regards to the princess’s killer. What will happen there . . . will they catch him, and if they do, will he do the time for his crimes? Well . . . you and I both know there’s only one way to find out, and if you decide to try it out, please do enjoy it! You can check it out on the titled link at the end of the first paragraph, or up on the menu links, but please do enjoy!
Author’s Rating: Mature Audiences Only (aged 18+) for some use of profane language, some suggestive sexual content, and a few brief descriptions suggesting some characters have been through child abuse and domestic violence (Please Note: This is based on the currently available content that has been released to date. Author’s rating is subject to change upon release of content as the story progresses).

Hello and welcome back to my site! I know that it has been a while since I have given any updates into the world of my writing, but truth be told, I have been contemplating long and hard on one particular piece that I was writing for free with one or two chapter releases at a time, Never Let Go. I know that I was only 9 chapters in when I stopped releasing any new material, and some of you are not going to be pleased with me at all when I say this next bit, but at this time I have found that I cannot finish this piece. Please understand me when I say that it is not a matter of writer’s block, but rather due to a new set of circumstances in my life that have changed my view on writing this particular piece any further. I know some of you absolutely raved about this book to me privately, and have told me how much you related to the characters, and I’m truly honored that this piece moved you in a way to be more open with me about circumstances in your own lives. I will always be here for you, should you want to talk about anything further with me, and I will keep you in my prayers for now and whenever you ask me to!

I also want to take the time to say how much I appreciated all the positive support I received in regards to this piece, and it truly is heartbreaking to say that I will not be putting an “ending” to this story, at least not at this time in my life. That being said, you will notice quickly that I have purged virtually all promotional posts regarding this novel, including a poll I once created that showed me 71% of you voted for a free read over 29% of you voting to support a purchase with a donation for a good cause the story represented. These promotional posts were once found directly on my Facebook author page and on my private Facebook profile (for friends and family only), as well as on Instagram, Twitter, and the original platform that Never Let Go was published on. The only mention of it that you will ever find anymore is through this particular site, and on this site’s (and my Facebook author page) header, which will be switched out over the weekend. It has not been lost on me that most of you would still prefer a free read, and I will most certainly honor that request with a new piece to replace Never Let Go, which I will go into on a separate update that will come later today – once I will be able to release the prologue! Again, I thank you so much for all of your support, and none of it goes unnoticed! If you are interested in other news [personal to me] that is unrelated to my writing in order to pass the time for my next update here, please feel free to check out my personal blog, A Few Beautiful Moments. In any case, I thank you so for your patience, and I look forward to sharing the exciting news of a free replacement later this evening in a separate update!

Ciao for now, folks!

An Update & Change in the Lineup of Novels to Come

Good morning to all from Jenah at 6:12 a.m. EST. I know it has been a little while since my last post, but I’ve been dealing with one health issue after another, or time just got away with me with the normal busy-ness of my days. Honestly, I haven’t written anything of my novels in a couple of weeks, because I just didn’t have the energy after completing daily tasks in my normal routine, or I wasn’t getting sufficient time alone to really get my creative juices flowing.

In knowing that my days have been getting busier and with less time to write my novels in the evening, I knew that coming into the new year I wanted to start waking up earlier at 5am, so that I could have more time to myself in the mornings, before the rest of the world wakes up that is. Most days it’s been peaceful and wonderful. The last week and a half, though, I was allowing myself to sleep in until 7ish, because I still wasn’t feeling well. However, I’m feeling better now, and back to my morning routine of triple foreign language lessons, catching up on my daily games and goals in Words With Friends 2 (a great game that I love playing with people from around the world while learning at least 2-3 new words a day!), and just simply relaxing as I wake my mind slowly in the peace and quiet that comes with this time of the morning.

With that said, I would like to go over a change in the lineup of my upcoming novels. In my previous post, I shared with you the news that the 3rd piece I have in store for release, The Dark Side, but I have since decided to take it out of the lineup at this time. The reason why is this: Netflix is unfortunately being sued by Choose Your Own Adventures publishers for the movie, Black Mirror: Bandersnatch. This has made me realize that I will have to tread very carefully with The Dark Side, and may even have to use a Choose Your Own Adventure publisher to publish it. I’m not ready to go with another publisher at this time, and in fact I will be self-publishing my next few pieces, until I finish all the research I can on writing The Dark Side, a Choose Your Own Adventure novel.

I have thought carefully on what I wanted to put in place of The Dark Side in my novel lineup, and have decided to go with a piece I once wrote as a teenager. The original title of this piece I wrote as a teenager was once Raising Dustin, but I’ve changed the title just a couple years ago to, Raising the Crown. It’s prequel piece, Searching For You, was once a fan fiction on a celebrity message forum that no longer exists on the internet, so of course only a couple of my absolutely closest friends who have read Searching For You will know who the original piece was about (and they know not to tell, so it’s our little secret *cue the wink here*). However, I lost all of Searching For You in a computer crash (it was back in the days of “floppy disks” and once I had a PC reformat, so I could no longer use the floppy disk that Searching For You was on), and since the message forum I had it posted on has since been deleted, I don’t care to revive the prequel. I will, however, take some of its most precious scenes, and add them to Raising the Crown, because I feel they will add some beauty and depth to this piece.

Truly I tell you I’m so excited to share this news with you. Raising the Crown has come a long, long way from being the sequel of a ridiculous fan fiction (I almost can’t believe I ever wrote so much fan fiction in my earlier years, but I’m confident in this manuscript’s major evolution from a fan fiction) to a real [fictitious] piece with characters who have grown into their own separate personalities apart from who they used to be, and I have matured them to now face the sensitive, real world issues of racism and hatred with elements of domestic and child abuse. With that said, I will end the post here, but not before sharing with you the [tentative] book cover and synopsis that you can now check out below.

Cover Design by Jenah Pierce.

[Tentative] Synopsis:
With a twist or two in the classic Romeo & Juliet story, Luca Palladino is a young, intelligent prince who represents the forbidden love between famous musician and actor Vince Palladino and Princess Camila Juric, both of whom are from two entirely different neighboring cultures that have been at war with each other over land for many a century. Update on Whitney’s Reprisal & A Few Other Upcoming Manuscripts

Whitney’s Reprisal
Second Edition

Hello, everyone, and welcome back to my blog. I promise I won’t take up too much of your time, but I wanted to give a brief update on Whitney’s Reprisal, which is an excerpt to my newly published debut novel, Broken.  Because I have uploaded a second edition of Whitney’s Reprisal to correct a few mistakes that were in the first edition, I decided it would be appropriate to have a second edition cover as well. You should start to see it appear on Kobo and Amazon, but if you don’t right now, please allow 72 hours to appear on whichever tech device you use. That’s it for the update on Whitney’s Reprisal. Now I’d like to briefly introduce you to the next few projects I will be working on, and I will introduce them in the order I will work on them (you will see the list start at #2, because that means it will be second in line after Broken has just hit the market as my first novel).

2. Stronger (Sequel to Broken)
Just like its prequel, this too I shall rate as Mature Audiences Only (aged 18+), but to be honest, if I say any brief synopsis at this time, it will spoil the ending of Broken, which has yet to be sent out to the press during a press release, so I’m just going to let you figure this one out for yourself. Once again, I’d like to share with you that you can now purchase Broken in either paperback or eBook version on all the major retailer websites, as well as their brick-and-mortar stores. I am 12 chapters into the sequel though, so it’s really coming along. 😉

3. The Dark Side (Title is tentative for now and may be subject to change later on)
This manuscript will be different from anything I have ever written to date, and it will be different from anything of mine you will probably read – ever – because this is going to be a fictitious Choose-Your-Own-Adventure novel to help raise more awareness on human trafficking by recognizing the dangers, signs, and tragedies that befall so many minors and adults who have been, and will become trafficked for drugs, sex, and/or slavery. I can pretty much guarantee you that most of my works are going to be, in my opinion as the author, rated Mature Audiences Only (aged 18+). However, with this one, I am going to encourage that parents read it with their teenagers and pre-teens, because human trafficking is no laughing matter, and its dangers and warning signs should be discussed with children.

4. The Jenison Files: Return of the Black Fire (Book #1 of this 10-book series)
I am a writer who wants to see what people respond to the most when it comes to my works, so I am dipping my toes in a couple different subgenres. This series is already set to be classified as Crime, Fantasy, and Mystery Thriller. If you have Instagram, feel free to head on over to my Instagram account to see a sneak peek of the first official rough draft of the map of Nok-Wa, the fantasy world that is going be part of this series. If you have not previously seen my [Instagram] post about it, I’ll just briefly share with you now that Detective Aruna Jo Jenison is the female lead for the series, and she’ll start the story out in Vancouver, Washington as a Special Victims Unit Detective from Los Angeles. She’s young, intelligent, and she’s got some mystery of her own.

Her new partner, the ever so handsome Detective Cai Chen, sets up his own mission to find out what she’s hiding and why. Detective Jenison struggles to keep her past behind her once her partner discovers it and it catches up to her, because she will soon find something new about herself. In her newfound discoveries, she inadvertently finds herself in a world different from Earth, a world called Nok-Wa. It is in Nok-Wa that she learns of her special place, as well as the reason for why she was called there. Detective Jenison will struggle to keep the two worlds separate for fear of being seen as crazy, until she learns that an evil criminal mastermind attacking her fellow Earthlings actually comes from Nok-Wa, which will put her at a dangerous crossroads of whether or not to allow her two worlds to collide in order for her to take down her enemy.

That is not the official synopsis, but that’s a brief introduction into the series. I hope you enjoyed the brief read, and I hope this blog post piques your interest in some of my work. Until the next piece is out, feel free to check out what’s already available in the links under the “Menu” section above. Until next time, I wish and pray you all a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful new year! May safety, peace, joy, good health, and prosperity be with you in, wherever you are, and wherever you go.

See you next year!

Latest News & Currently Listed Works

Hello and welcome to my official corner of the internet. A friend of mine a while back suggested I use WordPress as a great and official main source of information, but I have pushed the idea off to the side for a while, because I eventually wanted (and recently started) a separate blog about my experiences with bucket listing and traveling, adventures of all sorts, as well as any other unique moments where I don’t ever want to forget how they made me feel, etc. However, I have since then realized that my friend is right. I should have an official and main source for most of my author social media accounts to connect back to (i.e. Facebook, Twitter). It’s a shame I cannot connect Instagram, where the matter of blog post sharing is concerned, but I have still provided a link to it anyways (above and below), in case one would choose to follow me on that social platform. As for my personal travel and adventures blog, I will still keep writing in it, because I quite enjoy sharing my experiences with others. If ever you should find yourself bored, or curious to know more about me, feel free to check it out in the link above. With all this said, please feel free to put this site on your favorites, or just periodically check Facebook or Twitter to link back to the latest news that will come from here.

As you can see in the graphic listed as the header above, I have three (3) written works available to the public, with two (2) of them being available for purchase, and one (1) available for free. I have provided several links to them above, but before you click on any of them, please allow me to provide you with a little background information on each written work. I will discuss them in order of what is listed in the graphic from right to left, because the one on the right is completely unrelated to the two on the left, while the two on the left are interconnected.
